Find Nephi Busted Mugshots

Looking for busted mugshots in Nephi? You won't find a public photo gallery. The city's official sources publish no daily arrest list, no booking database, and no page of booking photos. Every request instead goes to whoever holds the record. A police stop handled by Nephi officers stays in city files, while anyone held in county custody falls under the Juab County Jail and the Sheriff's records process. So ask first where the person is held. That question points you to the right office, and it saves a wasted trip to a channel that was never going to answer it. Court cases run through yet another system entirely, and each route follows its own rules.

Nephi Arrests and County Custody

The Nephi City Police Department sits at 42 E. 200 N. and serves as the city's municipal agency. What it doesn't offer is any public arrest log, booking database, photo page, or inmate roster. Nephi is big for this county, mind you. It's the county seat, home to 6,443 people at the 2020 Census. Size still doesn't buy a booking interface.

County custody is a different matter. The Juab County Sheriff runs the Juab County Jail at 425 W. Sheeplane Drive, right in Nephi. Be careful with assumptions here, though. A police contact in the city doesn't automatically mean a jail booking happened, and the jail's page covers contact and visitation details rather than a searchable roster.

Custody also shifts over time. A person might sit in local jail on a pending matter, get released, or move into the Utah Department of Corrections system after sentencing. No single source answers all of those stages. The UDC locator can't rebuild every recent Nephi booking, and the local jail can't speak for state custody. Match your question to the right holder before drawing any conclusion.

Where Nephi Busted Mugshots Appear

The official options are few but easy to grasp. No municipal or sheriff web interface publishes a current Nephi roster, a live booking feed, or a routine display of booking photos. The table below sorts out what each channel actually does, so a present-custody question doesn't get tangled up with a records request or a court search. Each one serves a distinct purpose.

Utah law shapes what's public here. Under § 63G-2-305(80), a photo taken during jail booking is protected unless an exception applies. Keep that in mind when searching. A missing image online proves nothing at all about whether someone was booked.

What about the Sheriff's press-release page? It won't close the gap. The page exists as an official news outlet, yet it carries no dated booking entries, no bond lists, no release data, no charge fields, and no photographs. There is also no verified mobile app for looking up bookings. Nixle alerts and agency social media posts can share public safety news, but neither works as a full custody or court system.

For the city side, the Nephi City Police's official department page is the agency's public home.

That department page gives useful context about the agency itself. It does not, however, turn into a live Nephi custody check or a booking-photo lookup.

Find a Busted Nephi Booking

First, pin down which agency holds the record. Custody status matters too. The county-wide walkthrough of no-roster fallbacks, record requests, and custody channels lives in the Juab County booking-record route. For the city-specific sequence, start here. Then work through each step in order.

  1. For someone believed to be held locally now, call the Juab County Jail at 435-623-1344, option 2. The jail does not publish a public person search, so a phone inquiry is the documented local-custody route.
  2. For a recent or released county booking, identify the person, approximate event date, and any report, case, or booking identifier, then direct a focused request to the Sheriff Records Division.
  3. For a participating custody, transfer, release, or escape notification, use Utah VINE. VINE is not a photo archive and does not decide a court case.
  4. For a person in UDC custody or on UDC supervision, use the Utah Department of Corrections offender search. It is distinct from a fresh Juab County booking.
  5. For filed charges, plea information, scheduled events, or disposition, search Utah Courts Xchange and include both Justice Court and Fourth District when the court type is uncertain.

Don't read too much into a blank result. Any single channel may cover a different agency, a different stretch of time, or a case category that isn't public. An empty search tells you about the tool, not the person.

Word your request with care, too. A current-custody call simply asks the jail to confirm whether someone is held there now. A records request seeks a report, a booking or custody record, release information, or an image classification decision. Xchange, meanwhile, searches court-file information once court staff enter it. These paths overlap but never replace one another.

NCPD's Separate GRAMA Route

Nephi runs its own police-report process. It sits apart from anything the Sheriff holds. The NCPD GRAMA information page and its electronic form apply when Nephi officers wrote the incident report. Active reports are off limits, the city says, and access rules are spelled out for a subject, a guardian, or an authorized representative. Those limits cover city files only. They won't tell you who sits in the county jail.

Fees and timelines are fixed. The city allows ten working days to respond. It charges $10 per report, plus $25 per hour past the first 15 minutes. Photos run $5 for one to four and $10 for five to eight. After that, each added group of four costs $5, with payment due before release. Even a permitted city photo, though, can't override the protected classification that may attach to a jail booking image.

Submission options are fax, mail, or in person. The fax line is 435-623-0309. Include enough detail to identify the exact report, and don't ask the city to guess at a county booking. When NCPD never created the underlying record, take the request straight to the Sheriff as the actual record holder.

Nephi's electronic police-record request form is the city's official submission point.

The form covers city-held records only. What gets released in the end depends on the record type and its legal classification.

Nephi Busted Records: Choose the Holder

Who holds the paper matters. Nephi City Police is the office to ask for a report the city wrote. The Sheriff Records Division keeps existing sheriff reports, photographs, recordings, accident reports, and other Sheriff material, and it also holds the county booking file when the booking ran through the Sheriff. Keep the two straight. A police-report request and a live jail search are different things, and picking the wrong holder will slow both down.

For a Sheriff request, start with the Records Division. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., holidays excluded. Call 435-623-1344 and choose option 3. The Sheriff's GRAMA form posts $15 for up to 10 pages, with added costs beyond that, and a written response, denial, or extension notice must arrive within 10 business days. Photographs are a separate ask. Request the classification decision too, and include the signed statement that § 17-72-802 requires when you want a copy.

Note: The NCPD form covers city reports only, while Sheriff Records may hold the county booking material for someone who has been released.

Court Records After a Nephi Booking

A booking and a court case answer different questions. Juab County Justice Court takes class B and C misdemeanors, ordinance violations, and infractions. Felonies and class A misdemeanors go to Fourth District Court. A Nephi search should never assume one court holds every filed case.

Xchange instructions explain how to search Justice Court, district court, or both, then narrow the results to Juab County. A public case history lists the court, case number, filing date, parties, charge history, plea, and events, plus a disposition when one has been entered. Juvenile, sealed, and expunged cases never appear in public Xchange results. For what happened after the arrest, the court record, not the booking label, is the source that tells you.

Both courthouses sit in Nephi. The Justice Court is at 160 N. Main Street, and the Juab/Nephi Fourth District contact location is at 102 E. 200 N. Either office can help with a court record or a filing status through its published channels. A jail-custody check is a separate question entirely.

Nephi News Is Not a Busted Feed

Mid-Utah Radio's Nephi tag is the strongest city-oriented news feed for Nephi, covering events as they happen. It is not an official arrest log. It carries no booking roster and no mugshot gallery. Treat each story on its own sourcing, which may be an NCPD or Sheriff release, court material, an affidavit, or another agency.

The Nephi tag is represented here as contextual news only.

The lead imagery on those stories may be generic police lights, agency material, or reporting photography. Never read it as a booking photo. For the broader local-media picture, see Crime News & Mugshots.
